I was first attracted by the feminist approach in the story. In today's world India has been in the spotlight of gender inequality and sexual suppression, and it is unimaginable how the situation would be in the past. Although in real life I'm not kinda radical feminist person, and I don't think our heroin would really break the ice barrier and establish some equal right in that world, I really hope that there would be some struggle against male domination both physically and psychologically. But after all, there's no women's right without human right. She might realize that sometimes the salvation of men is also necessary. What a dilemma.
