18、Me Before You - To Him or To Her

　　I thought I could guess the ending of the film before I really watched it. As I played it, I just couldn’t stop watching it and didn’t want to skip any part. At the very beginning, I assumed that “Me before you” was just to him. But now I find it’s to both of them or even more to her. He was delighted from the moment she walked in wearing the wired costume, and she started to do the thing that she haven’t tried before or say imagined before.

　　I blamed him in my mind for thousands of time. How could you leave her alone (here, literally leave her alone) in this world, when you are so into each other However, as I recall from the very beginning, the ending is obvious. He suffered from pain for such a long time, and he lived for the extra six months was just for the promise. Due to that, even if she came to his life, the result still wouldn’t be changed or even more stilled.

　　Since he loves her, he hopes that she can have a better new life and to make the “potential” come true. He doesn’t want to be the person who bound her, but the one to set her free.
