27、22. Ultimate weapon

　　Klaus宅。
　　始祖舞会虽然算不上不欢而散，但也是虎头蛇尾，草草收场。一家人心思各异，这一晚上有没有人睡得着就没人知道了。
　　第二天，Elijah先找到了Rebekah，给她看Esther烧过的草药，没想到Rebekah完全没当回事。
　　Elijah: “Haven’t you noticed her strange behaviour”
　　Rebekah: “She’s been dead for a thousand years, what’s strange for her”
　　Elijah: “Burned sage. She was doing a privacy spell.”
　　可是Rebekah还是不愿听，反而给Esther找理由: “You know she fancy such things. Why don’t you ask Finn He’s been dotting on her.”
　　Elijah直言: “I don’t trust Finn. He hates what we are. He always has.”
　　Rebekah: “That’s not true. And as for mother, she returned for one reason, to make her family whole. She loves us. What trouble are you looking to find”
　　Elijah无奈的看着自己的小妹妹。
　　“Anyway, I need to go.” Rebekah转身走了。
　　Elijah就是太不了解女人了。Rebekah好不容易既有母亲，又有哥哥们，还有朋友和自己喜欢的人，等了一千年生活从来没有如此美满过，你现在跟她说她的亲亲母亲有什么秘密计划，谁信啊！

　　Salvatore宅。
　　Elena发现了一支空的酒杯，里面有血。
　　她冲到地下室一看，冰柜已经空了一半。

　　Forbes宅。
　　Caroline一觉醒来，发现枕边卷着一张纸。
　　她打开一看，是一副素描，画里她看着一匹骏马，嘴角含笑，而Klaus在不远处看着她。
　　署名：Thank you for your honesty. Klaus

　　Angel宅。
　　Angel打开门，门外是皱着眉的Elena。
　　Elena: “I need to talk to you two.”
　　Angel: “Come in.”
　　Elena坐下后问: “Where is Damon”
　　Angel给她倒了杯果汁: “Went to buy coffee, might need some time.”
　　买咖啡是不错，不过是去隔壁镇了。隔壁镇上有一家小咖啡馆的松饼特别好吃，Damon昨天得意忘形，做的狠了点，今天一早赶紧爬起来去买好吃的赔罪了。
　　Elena见Damon一时回不来，倒也不介意，担忧的对Angel说: “Stefan’s drinking human blood.”
　　Angel也坐下: “I didn’t hear anything from the Sheriff.”
　　Elena: “No he didn’t kill anyone. Just…I found he drank a lot of blood for some time already.”
　　Angel不解的眨下眼: “Isn’t that a good sign”
　　Elena: “No!! Of course not! He doesn’t like you gays.”
　　“Okay…” Angel坐直了身体， “I’m a vampire. Damon is a vampire. Stefan is a vampire. Where exactly is the ‘doesn’t like’ part”
　　Elena收敛了一下急切的语气: “I know. But that’s not who he is. Stefan is fragile right now. Animal blood helps him to control himself.”
　　“Control himself” Angel沉吟片刻，指尖相对放在身前: “Elena, what do you think vampire is, human being who has a little diet problem, or completely predator with no civilization”
　　Elena张了张嘴没有说话。
　　Angel: “We are neither. And we are both. The only problem Stefan has it’s he always went from one side to another. All these years he should spend on learn to control his craving instead of shout it down or let it take over.”
　　Elena无语地看着他: “… you sound like Damon.”
　　Angel: “Maybe because he’s right... Elena, drinking human blood is how we gonna live. You should help Stefan find the balance. He needs your support, not your judgement.”
　　Angel的语速不快声音也不高，态度和善，意思绝对。
　　Elena抿了抿唇想说什么，门外走廊脚步声响，Damon回来了。
　　Elena知道Angel的态度就是Damon的态度，同样的，Damon的意见也就是Angel的意见。Angel已经说的很明白，她再求Damon也没用。干脆打了个招呼就走了。
　　当然Angel更细心，Damon端进房间的是装在瓷盘里的点心，一定已经听到他跟Elena的谈话了，不由得有些调笑的看着他。
　　Damon自然看出Angel嘲笑他偷听，不过他脸皮一向厚，根本不当回事，又特别喜欢Angel似笑非笑的表情，赶紧凑过来挤着Angel坐下，不老实的捏捏Angel的腰。
　　两人闹了一会，Damon抱紧Angel，忽然一本正经的说: “I owe you.”
　　Angel一怔，随后恍然大悟。
　　Damon跟Angel一样，从不怀疑Stefan与Elena是真心相爱。可Stefan是吸血鬼，Elena是人类，这份感情再真，也注定了不能长相厮守。
　　吸血鬼和人，可是一条食物链。
　　人再爱巧克力，能跟巧克力相守终生？
　　虽然这话绝对了一些，可是不无道理。再说了，吸血鬼永生不老，Elena七老八十的时候，如何面对永远17岁的Stefan？
　　与吸血鬼相爱的人类，早晚要做出个选择。
　　Damon最庆幸的，就是Angel当初干脆决绝的“牺牲”，让他不用像自己的弟弟一样面对这些问题。
　　咖啡浓郁的芳香和松饼的甜香弥漫开来，满室暖意，Angel微微一笑，正色说: “You deserve it.”
　　Damon低头，亲吻他的手背。

　　女巫的白房子。
　　Bonnie和Abby慢慢走近。
　　Abby: “Wonder what your gram thinks about the part we’re playing in all this, balance of nature stuff.”
　　Bonnie: “She’s probably on the other side, screaming about getting involved with vampire business.”
　　Esther走出白房子，迎向两人。
　　Esther: “Bennett witches, thank you for coming. I could think of no better allies than the woman who sent Mikael into his long sleep and the girl who fought Nicklaus so bravely.”
　　Bonnie微微点头，Abby问: “Why exactly did you invite us here”
　　Esther: “You are the descendants of the witch Ayana. She was a great mentor of mine. And I think it’s only fitting that I draw from her bloodline.”
　　Bonnie: “Are you channelling our ancestors”
　　Esther: “I draw from the entirety of the Bennett bloodline, living and dead. The connection affords me great power, although it is somewhat difficult to maintain, which is why I require you,” Esther向两人点头致意, “Mother and daughter… the bloodline made manifest.”
　　Bonnie跟Abby对视了一眼，Esther走上一步，握住两人的手: “My sisters, we shall bring peace to the spirits of nature that we serve. And for that, I thank you.”

　　金盏花路6号。
　　这里只是一个再普通不过的二层小楼。Katherine焦躁不安的在房间里来回踱步，反复思量着Esther说过的话里透露出的讯息。终于忍不住打给Angel。
　　Katherine: “There is one more thing really suspicious…”
　　Angel: “What do you mean”
　　Katherine狠狠皱着眉: “… She said ‘undo the evil I created’… that doesn’t sound like Klaus.”
　　Angel: “…”
　　Katherine敏感的意识到了什么: “Angel What do you know”
　　Angel: “You are right. She wants to kill all originals.”
　　Katherine: “!!!”她猛的挂断了电话，有一瞬间，茫然的看着不知名的远方。

　　女巫的白房子。
　　Bonnie惊讶的瞪大了眼睛: “What You want to kill all of them”
　　Esther: “I love my family, Bonnie. But they are an abomination. I betrayed nature when I created them. It’s my duty to kill them.”
　　Bonnie震惊的看着Esther，可Esther表情沉静，完全看不出喜怒。Bonnie萌生了一些退意，但她心里很清楚，Esther的力量虽然由她和Abby提供，但现在，她的力量已经远远超越了自己，她之所以叫两人来，不过是更加保险而已，自己与其拒绝，还不如随机应变。
　　始祖家庭没几个好人，都干掉也不一定是坏事。
　　所以Bonnie稳了稳神，疑惑的问: “… but how”
　　Esther回头向一直站在不远处的Finn点了点头，Finn消失了，Esther转回头来说: “I was thought I can link them as one by using doppelganger’s blood at the ball last night. But that plan failed since I didn’t recognise the right doppelganger. Now we have to do it the hard way. First, we need a weapon.”

　　作为始祖家庭5个现有的兄妹，Elijah和Finn比较年长，Kol和Rebekah年幼，Klaus正好在中间。就在Elijah试图说服Rebekah的同时，Klaus也在想该不该告诉Kol。
　　Grill。
　　Kol要Klaus陪他喝酒，一边喋喋不休的打听Angel的各种细节。
　　Klaus无奈的说: “I have no idea you are gay.”
　　Kol: “Does that matter Come on. Tell me again how he tastes like.”
　　两人正说着，Caroline走进了Grill，Klaus的目光立刻被吸引过去了。Kol注意到Klaus的走神，笑着说: “I remember her from last night. She looks like a tasty little thing.”
　　Klaus低声说: “Say another word, and I’ll tear out your liver.”见Caroline已经走近，急忙扬声说， “Caroline!”
　　Caroline停下脚步，撇了撇嘴: “Oh, it’s you.”
　　Klaus: “Join us for a drink”
　　Caroline抱起手臂: “I’d rather die of thirst, but thanks.”
　　她转身走了，Klaus对Kol说: “Isn’t she stunning”
　　Kol: “She certainly looks good walking away from you.”
　　“I’ll take that as a challenge.” Klaus把杯中酒一饮而尽，快速追了出去。

　　女巫的白房子。
　　Esther向一枚戒指施咒，将戒指变成了可以保护人类不被超自然生物杀害的保护戒。
　　而Finn带回了一样东西，一根乌黑的短木棍，刻着古朴的螺旋纹饰。
　　Bonnie: “What is that”
　　Esther: “This used to belong to Mikael. After they burned the white oak tree to the ground thousand years ago, this is all it left. Mikael hide it. He wasn’t expected Nicklaus would defend him so quickly.”
　　她将戒指扔进一只石盆，将木棍放在石盆上，向Bonnie和Abby伸出了手: “Now I need your help. The protective magic in this ring will bind to the stake, thus rendering the white oak indestructible.”
　　Bonnie与Abby对视了一眼，伸手握住了Esther的手。

　　Grill门外。
　　Klaus: “Caroline!”他急忙穿过马路，差点被车撞了。
　　Caroline走过马路，回头看着Klaus: “Are you serious Take a hint.”说完扭头要走。
　　Klaus赶忙伸手拉她: “Don’t be angry, love. We had a little spat. I’m over it already.”
　　Caroline翻了个白眼: “Ah, well, I’m not.”
　　Klaus: “How can I acquit myself”
　　Caroline吐了口气停下脚步，转过身对Klaus说: “You and your expensive jewellery and your romantic drawings can leave me alone.”
　　Klaus: “Oh, come on. Take a chance, Caroline.”他赶快在一旁的公园长椅上坐下，看着Caroline笑得像个孩子一样， “Talk to me. Come on. Get to know me. I dare you.”
　　Caroline犹豫了一会，翻了个白眼，重重的说: “Fine.”在他身边坐了下来， “What do you want to talk about”
　　Klaus: “I want to talk about you,your hopes, and your dreams, everything you want in life.”
　　Caroline笑了: “Just to be clear, I’m too smart to be seduced byyou.”
　　Klaus也笑了: “Well, that’s why I like you.”

　　女巫的白房子。
　　在三位女巫的反复的吟颂中，石盆里的戒指化成银色的液体，木棍缓缓升空，液体纠缠而上，逐渐覆盖了整个木棍。
　　在棍尖也被包裹好之后，木棍终于掉落了下来，发出了叮当的轻响。
　　女巫们松开了手，Esther走上一步，拿起了那个不会被毁灭的木棍: “The ultimate weapon…”

　　Angel宅。
　　Angel坐在书桌前看着大摞大摞的资料。
　　每当Angel以那种蔑视世人的速度阅读那些匪夷所思的文字时，Damon都觉得自己蠢极了。不过脸皮这种东西，总是越磨越厚的。
　　Damon拱拱拱，挤到Angel身边。转椅位置有限，Angel无奈的放下了手里的资料，顺从的被他抱到腿上。
　　两人亲密的接了个吻，Damon温柔的亲着Angel的耳垂，而Angel突然说: “Do you mind I used Katherine”
　　Damon抬起头: “Hello, I’m Damon Salvatore. Have we met”
　　Angel笑了: “Come on Damon,you don’t use people.”
　　Damon翻了个白眼: “Just say it straight. My way is rude and vulgar. You don’t even have an eye on it.”
　　Angel转了转眼睛: “…Yes”
　　Damon报复的捏了捏他的鼻子: “And besides, that’s hardly use. You only told her the truth.”
　　Angel: “I didn’t tell her anything purely on her benefit. That is use. I knew how she feels and I said things that would lead her to the route I want her to be... You don’t think that’s kind of creep”
　　Damon: “Ok… for the record, I love the dark Angel as much as the bright one.”
　　Angel: “Dark Angel What am I, chocolate”
　　Damon掐一把他的腰，Angel笑着摆手示意他不插嘴了才继续说: “Yeah, the dark Angel, when you read all that crap I don’t even know they are drawings or characters, when you stand there with that sophisticate smile, when you play someone like Katherine, when are device… and by the way,you are absolutely stunning in all those moments.”
　　Angel: “And the bright one”
　　Damon: “When you stare a cake through the shopping window, when you yelled me to do chores, when you laugh like a three years old, and when you look at me…” Damon伸出双手抚摸着Angel的脸， “You make my heart melt…”
　　Angel伸手蹂躏Damon柔软的短毛: “And every time when I think I can’t love you more…”
　　他低下头，满心欢喜的亲吻Damon的唇。

　　女巫的白房子。
　　天色已晚，Bonnie和Abby回家了。
　　Finn像一个忠实的护卫一样默默站在Esther身边。
　　Esther看着自己最听话的儿子: “You understand what this means, don’t you”
　　Finn: “I understand. My death will release me from an eternity of shame. It’s a gift mother.”
　　Esther微不可查的点了点头，跳动的烛火映在她脸上，看不清是否有任何的情绪。
　　Finn: “Anything else you need”
　　Esther: “Yes…”她转过头看着Finn， “Get Damon Salvatore.”
